I say the COVID variants have put far more strain on our healthcare network.\u00a0 Given the extensive news coverage, we have reached out to an infectious disease expert from UHN to learn more:<\/p><ul><li>The variants are more transmissible.\u00a0 That means the variants will be absorbed more quickly and easily into our bodies.<\/li><li>The variants cause more severe outcomes.\u00a0 That means likelihood of severe sickness is more likely.<\/li><\/ul><p>In other words, now is NOT the time to relax.<\/p><p>What can we do?\u00a0 Our recommendations are simple, and we ask all of you to be EXTRA diligent about:<\/p><ul><li>Limiting contact with anyone outside your households as much as possible.<\/li><li>Wearing a medical grade mask whenever you are in contact with anyone.\u00a0 This is critical when indoors, and strongly encouraged outdoors.<\/li><li>Limiting the amount of time spent with anyone.<\/li><li>Maintaining social distance of 6 feet.<\/li><li>Washing your hands with soap frequently.<\/li><li>Covering your mouth whenever you cough or sneeze.<\/li><li>Avoiding touching your face.<\/li><li>Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces.<\/li><li>Monitoring your health.\u00a0 Stay home and get tested if you have symptoms.<\/li><li>Getting vaccinated as soon as possible.<\/li><\/ul><p>Paragon has made significant investments
